Update: Since our Vietnam visa expires on Jan 28, we are considering visiting the Thai Embassy in Hanoi tomorrow morning to check our status. Has anyone tried this recently? Does it actually help speed things up or do they just tell you to wait?
Hi everyone,
We are currently in Hanoi and looking for some insight from anyone who has applied here recently.
Our Situation:
Primary Applicant: Applied on Jan 11. Status changed to "Pending Approval" on Jan 14. No updates since then (today is the 7th working day).
Dependent (me): Status is "Request Document" with a message saying: "Please resubmit when the principal applicant has been granted the visa."
The Dilemma: Our Vietnam E-visas expire on January 28th. We are getting nervous about the timeline.
Has anyone who applied in Hanoi around Jan 10-12 received an approval yet?
If we don’t get the DTV by Jan 25/26, we plan to do a quick Visa Run to Laos to reset our Vietnam visa. Does anyone know if exiting/re-entering Vietnam while the DTV is "Pending" causes any issues with the Thai Embassy in Hanoi?
For dependents: Once I resubmit my application with my husband’s approved DTV, how long does the Hanoi embassy typically take to approve the dependent visa?
DTV soft power application HCMC: I applied on 4/22 and within a few hours, it went to pending approval. I know there are two holidays this week. I have my anticipated arrival date at May 17th. Just curious if anyone else applied around this date and has been approved.
hello everyone, please help,my visa has been cancelled today in Vietnam without reason, what should i do?
update,i took photo of every step, and i just check again,it's exactly the same as what I filled in my passport.
The only reason I can think of is that I did not write China as the place of issue, but the information I filled in is the same as in my passport, which is the province where I was born.and my friend also filled in the province, her application was approved in Jakarta.
The embassy was closed for the holiday. It was really frustrating that there was no specific reason for the cancellation in the email. I guess I will have to go to the embassy next Monday to ask for the reason.
