What are the accommodation proof requirements for the DTV visa application at the Thai Embassy in Switzerland?

Has anyone applied for the DTV visa via the Thai Embassy in Switzerland? Was a 7–10 night refundable hotel booking enough for accommodation proof, or did they ask for more? I plan to do a long-term contract only after approval.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user asked about the DTV visa application process at the Thai Embassy in Switzerland, specifically regarding the adequacy of a 7-10 night refundable hotel booking as proof of accommodation. Comments indicate that only the name of the hotel was required, without the need for booking confirmation.

They just asked for accomodation name but not for booking confirmation. Also for the flight they didn't ask for booking confirmation. But flight number and date.

In my case I just wrote the name of a Bangkok hotel which I could book and cancel for free. The flight I booked already. I'm Swiss citizen.

Anonymous participant 298 You need to be outside of Thailand when applying. Why you give them a Bangkok address?

They ask for accomodation where I intend to stay in Thailand. Proof of my current location Switzerland I need to upload a proof of a Swiss residence as well. (Wohnsitzbestätigung)

I applied in Vientiane and showed a one day hotel reservation. They asked me then for the VISA to Laos passport stamp. Was enough.

What do you mean by “accommodation proof”? Is the embassy in Switzerland asking for proof of accommodation in Thailand?
