In the process of doing the eVisa for DTV. There are two questions in the eVisa. 1. flight details and 2. accommodation details. I haven't booked either yet. Is this a show-stopper for my application? Do I NEED these 2 pieces of information before I can submit my eVisa DTV for consideration?

Hi, I am trying to apply for the DTV visa, but they are asking me for my arrival date and the accommodation where I will stay. Why do I need this information to apply for the DTV visa? Shouldn’t I apply first and then book the flights once the visa is granted? Imagine if I book the flights for three months from now, but the visa takes longer to be approved…

Hi, with the SETV if you don't have a definitive itinerary...what is the best way of uploading accommodation details for UK applicants. I've got the first night booked in Bangkok and have evidence of that but want to be quite flexible after that......i understand only having one night may raise the question of why 60day visa is needed. Want to say a big thank you for all of the sage advice and info in this group. I read through many posts to gather info before I applied for a METV in the U.S. through the DC embassy. It paid off because I received my METV within 2 days.

Some tips I would share - For the question on your flight info, you can only upload one document but I knew that I had to show my flight into BKK but also leaving and returning to Thailand, to support the need for a METV. So I included all flight info in one pdf that I uploaded.

For the bank balance info. I don't remember if they asked for 6 months of balances of $700+ but that is what I provided. The Embassy came back and asked for 6 months of $7,000 balance, so I provided it. I redacted my bank statements so that all that showed was the month end balance.

Info in this group also indicated that I would need a confirmation of employment. The online application did not ask for this info but the Embassy did ask for it, so you need to have it.

For accomodation - I showed hotel for 1st 15 days and they didn't ask for any addt'l info.

What do you do if you don't have a Thai contact to put on your online visa app for the US? I have no friends and I'm applying for a tourist visa, but I can't submit it until I put something in that section. Help? Be kind it's been a long day.

London online E visa application.

I guess this will still go in one ear and out of the other BUT, in order to bring some sense to the party anyway, and people not needing to go through the same thing of the 'E visa site is not working' 10 times a day, lets at least give it a go.

No matter which visa you apply for, ANY field showing a red asterisk, as in the attachments shown, MUST be filled in. There are many fields marked with a red asterisk as you work your way through the application. Some ask for a pension statement, financial information, work information, flight and accomodation details etc etc

If you fail to provide the information, you CANNOT move forward with the application. Starting over and over with a new application will not solve it. All that will do is fill the application folder with more and more applications. Eventually, the system will either lock you out temporarily until you've cleared the pending application folder or, as in some cases, lock you out completely as it will see you as being a spammer.

Once it locks you out completely, there is absolutely no way back in until immigration in Bangkok unlocks you. How you would go about that, other than contacting them directly, I've no idea.The Embassys have no way or input in to the system other than with your printed bar code which they need to approve or deny your application. They canmot access your application without the bar code.They cannot unlock you if your locked out.

They cannot over ride the system or requirements in any way, shape or form or except an application if it isn't submitted by E visa. The system and requirements are locked by immigration in Bangkok.

So, unless you file the requested documents, each and everyone, then your simply not going to be able to apply using E visa or through the London Thai Embassy, no matter what anybody tells you is or isn't required.

For instance, if your not prepared to show accomodation or flight details, pension or financial statements, a letter from your employer or anything else it asks for, then I suggest finding another way to obtain a visa.
