I just got an EDU visa in Laos. Is it better to flight to BKK or to cross the friendship bridge by walk? Becouse of all of this problems with immigration that other people have, I am totally afraid even though I never do anything bad.
Border run number 3 on 9.12., land border to laos, Friendship bridge 4 near chiang rai. We went to Laos for 2minutes and come back. No question asked at thai border coming back.
I have been here now and dtv since 31.8.2024 never been asked anything on enter, I have used cambodia border 1st time, laos vientiane 2nd time, and now FB4. Every time is so easy ❤️
I always drive at the border myself, and cross the border walking with only wallrt and phone.
Dont be afraid of the trolls, dtv is cool 🥰🥰🥰
There was a posr about this FB4 borser before that they ask for every document. No, not from me.
Laos border control suggested me I dont have to enter Laos, can just go back, but I didnt want to take "the risk" of not entering another country. If I had more time, i would have tried, but I had a tight schedule for this trip
Hello, i’m Indonesian but since my previous visa had been expired so i’ve tried to enter Thailand with visa exemption once and they rejected me to go in and asked me to go back to Lao. They told me that i could enter by airport. So i decided to apply new Visa in Lao and right now im on the way to pass the friendship bridge Lao-Thai. I already printed all of the documents. Do you think i can pass the immigration? Please inform me, i do not want to be left behind by the bus
AteVChiang Mai border run to Chiang Khong/Huayxai completer. We found a private car service for about half the price of the organized Van trip. That way we could stop for snack and smoke breaks on the way. Fast exit and entry into Laos. We had Lao e-visas but still had to fill out an arrival and departure card. We waited about 20 minutes for the bus across the friendship bridge, ฿25 a person entering into Laos was smooth, but there was another ฿20 charge after we cleared immigration. We turned right back around and went back in. The Lao immigration person was very friendly, asked several times if we were sure we didn’t have to stay two days. We assured her that was not the case, hoping we were right, as we had been informed in this forum. It was a short wait for the bus back across the friendship, bridge, and our entry into Thailand was smooth and easy. The Thai immigration officer took our DTV’s, asked us where we lived, which was Chiang Mai, and stamped us back in through January 8, 2026. We had filled out the TDAC online and were prepared with the digital downloads I saved to my phone. However, just like the last time we came in at Chiang Mai airport, we were never asked for it. I imagine they just looked it up on the computer and saw that we had it, but no one ever mentioned it. thanks for all your help.
My plan is to take a flight to Nakhon Phanom. The question is there a bus operating from the airport straight to Savannaket? Or if I cross the border in Nakhon Phanom is there a bus on the Laos side to Savannaket?
Hello, anyone here with dual citizenship who changed passports while crossing the land border between Thailand to Laos? I know you cannot change passports in a "border run". My question reffers to an actual entry to stay in Laos for few days- while I apply for a Visa in the Thai Embassy in Laos.
Thank you for sharing from *real experience*, particularly if its the friendship bridge crossing next to Nong Khai that you went through.
