Hopefully some one can give reliable advice on here I'm back in England I split from my Thai wife 10 years ago there is no communication between us now I want to know how can I get information to find if I am still married or not I haven't a clue where the office was in Bangkok where marriage was registered so going to that place is a no I've no paperwork for the marriage registration I've basically only the date I got married I just want to know if I'm legally married still or not best place to contact if anyone can give advice appreciated

I'm about to get a divorce to my thai wife. Do I have to also go to Chaeng wattana (I'm in Bkk) to cancel my extension of stay, that expires anyway on 6 May? I searched but couldn't find much related to this process.

I thought that once I sign the divorce, it will nullify my non imm o extension of stay and I have to leave within 24hrs of the papers being signed.

Or if I sign the papers and just leave, what's the worst that could happen? As I say, the ext of stay expires 6 May anyway

Hi! I have a question for a friend in a bad situation. She is married to a Thai on a non O visa for marriage. She is over 50 years old.

Her husband is insisting on "Getting the divorce tomorrow (Monday)". She wants to divorce because he's abusive. She has moved out of their house, but he keeps showing up.

She is not sure if she would have a grace period to change her visa over to retirement, which would take at least a week to transfer her money over for the financial requirement.
