I think I have a problem. My passport got damaged by water and I now have to go to my

embassy in Bangkok to get a new one. Entry stamp and extension of stay can't be read. So what shall I do? I have a Thai drivers license which may let my fly domestically (?) Is this ok? Can I use that? During covid I had to take a taxi from Udon Thani to Bangkok when I returned to my home country (no flights at the moment) - wouldn't want that again. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Just had extension of stay based on retirement renewed till Nov 2019 and multiple entry visa also obtained. Had to go to Australia and upon arrival they noted minor damage in my Aussie passport. Info page is still legible and i have obtained a replacement passport and will be returning next week. Obviously will need to show both passports upon return and explain. Is there any paperwork to be completed for transfer of extension and METV to replacement passport?. Also assuming this can all be done at Jomtien where it was all issued.? Any advice and info very much appreciated.
