As an LTD company owner that works freelance for UK companies for a couple weeks to a couple month at a time in the UK, would a DTV be suitable to live in Thailand and travel back to the UK 2 or 3 times a year for work.
For clarity, while in Thailand there would be no working, not remotely online other than administration stuff, diary and accounts etc, all the actual freelancing would take place in the UK and payment would be received into UK banks, taxes paid to HMRC etc.
If not, what Visa solution would you suggest?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) may be suitable for a UK LTD company owner who intends to live in Thailand while working for UK clients remotely. Although the primary work happens in the UK and only administrative tasks will be conducted in Thailand, it's crucial to frame the application by indicating that remote work, even if minimal, will occur. Several commenters suggest that providing some evidence of remote work could facilitate the DTV application process. If the focus is solely on administrative tasks without any contract or framing as remote work, applicants may face challenges. Overall, it appears that the DTV could work if positioned correctly.
Sounds exactly like the visa for you. I would mention you would be doing some work remotely while in Thailand - even if just providing quotes and invoices. A pal did this for his UK Building company
As you describe it, technically no as DTV is specifically for remote work. People have been rejected if their work is not remote but they do it outside Thailand.
As a company owner though there is nothing to stop you writing a contract and letter for yourself saying you have permission to work remotely in Thailand.
