Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks to all of you in this group for the wealth of information and great sense of community ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ It helped me during my process immensely!

Got into Thailand today on a soft power (Muay Thai) DTV that I applied for myself through Ho Chi Minh City.

Would love to pay it forward and help out anyone else in a similar situation who might have questions about the process ๐Ÿ˜

Hi. Today, I was asked to upload additional documents for my DTV visa application. However, the system only allows me to upload one file, while I need to submit several documents, including a multi-page bank statement, my national ID, and a bank letter.

Could you please advise how I can upload all of these together? Should I combine them into a single PDF file, or is there an alternative method?

Thank you for your guidance.

Hi everyone,

Have anyone got asked the second times to upload all pages of the passport from Jakarta Embassy?

I already submitted all the passport pages that included all stamps on it but the embassy asked it again with this note:

Please upload all pages of your passport not skipping any pages.

P.S - I used to stay with Non-ED visa for 8 months.

My visa was expired on 25 Apr 2025 but I leaved the country on 20 Apr 2025 without cancelling it.

Maybe they can't find the cancellation stamp for the ED visa?

I have reqeusted the cancellation letter to the school. But they can only provide on tomorrow.

What should I do in that situration?

Should I write cover letter that I already asked for cancellation letter and I will cancel it as soon as I get back to Thailand?

Any suggestion would be really appreciated.

Has anybody who is not originally from the Philippines successfully applied for the DTV while in the Philippines? I checked the requirements for the E-Visa application in Manila and for me (German) it says that I need a "Copy of Philippine Visa" - Does that mean my tourist visa stamp in my passport? I also have an ACR-I card but that is only stated as a requirement for nationals from mostly African and Middle Eastern countries) so I don't know if that counts.

Also, would you advise that I stay in Manila during the application process, just in case they need me to appear in person, or can I just stay in Cebu?

And lastly, when I apply, it states that I need to enter flight number and intended duration of stay (despite selecting DTV) - What should I enter here? a date 5 years in the future?

I already e-mailed the embassy but they just replied with copypasta and links to information that I already had.

Thanks!

I am currently in Thailand on a visa exemption and planning to apply for the DTV. I'm wondering how urgent it is to apply.

So far this year, Iโ€™ve already used a visa exemption and extended it to 90 days. I left the country to the US and came back again on a new visa exemption, and Iโ€™ve now been here about 30 days. I'm going to Korea next week. Before all this, I also spent about 1.5 months in Thailand at the end of last year.

Can I return to Thailand one more time on a visa exemption, or is there a high risk that Iโ€™ll be denied entry at the border?

I applied for the DTV as a freelancer on July 1. Today they responded requesting one thing: Document indicating current location. I submitted my stay permit. Hoping there are no further issues and itโ€™s approved swiftly! Jakarta.

Update: status changed to pending approval today, July 9

Update 2: received approval today, a few hours later!

Hi everyone!

I'm applying for a DTV spouse/dependent visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and just received a request for additional documents. I would really appreciate your insights.

Here's the situation:

I submitted my bank statement (6 months), my husband's bank statement (also 6 months), and his financial sponsorship letter. Now the consulate is asking for:

"Provide financial sponsorship letter along with transaction for 6 months and account balance not less than 500,000 baht."

I'm confused because I already provided exactly that - a sponsorship letter and both of our bank statements showing consistent activity and sufficient funds.

They also asked:

"Will you stay in Thailand continuously for 5 years? Are you currently working? If yes, please provide info. If not, what are your plans for the next 5 years in Thailand?"

I'm not sure what exactly they're looking for or if this usually means a likely rejection.

Has anyone experienced something similar at the HCM consulate (or elsewhere)?

Any advice would be really helpful!
