What documents should I submit for a DTV spouse/dependent visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City?

Hi everyone!

I'm applying for a DTV spouse/dependent visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and just received a request for additional documents. I would really appreciate your insights.

Here's the situation:

I submitted my bank statement (6 months), my husband's bank statement (also 6 months), and his financial sponsorship letter. Now the consulate is asking for:

"Provide financial sponsorship letter along with transaction for 6 months and account balance not less than 500,000 baht."

I'm confused because I already provided exactly that - a sponsorship letter and both of our bank statements showing consistent activity and sufficient funds.

They also asked:

"Will you stay in Thailand continuously for 5 years? Are you currently working? If yes, please provide info. If not, what are your plans for the next 5 years in Thailand?"

I'm not sure what exactly they're looking for or if this usually means a likely rejection.

Has anyone experienced something similar at the HCM consulate (or elsewhere)?

Any advice would be really helpful!

A user is applying for a DTV spouse/dependent visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and faces confusion regarding a request for additional documents. They have submitted bank statements and a sponsorship letter but have been asked to provide them again along with proof of staying in Thailand for 5 years. Comments suggest resubmitting the same documents and enhancing their cover letter to address the consulate's queries.

I read a reddit thread where people had the same situation and just resubmitted the same documents and were approved. I would just update your cover letter to answer their questions politely and resubmit the same documents. Very strange I know!
