For border run on DTV, can you go in and out in two days and its fine? I was planning to be out longer but now health situation requires me to be back. Any advice or past experience will help.

When it changes from pending document check to pending approval does that usually mean it will be approved?

Hi 👋🏼

I am new here and starting to look into moving to Thailand.

I am a scuba diving instructor and last time I worked in Thailand, I had a visa and work permit through my employer but looking to find work after arrival in Thailand this time.

I have seen mentions of DTV and soft power visas but trying to understand the difference and what might be best for me to apply for? Thanks in advance ☺️🧜🏼‍♀️

Confused. I applied for a DTV visa around a month ago and some days ago i just got a mail saying ”Approved” but when i check it says that i have a tourist visa?

Do anyone in here knows what this means? Is this a DTV visa or did i get a normal tourist visa instead?

Hello everyone, I’m just a few days away from doing my DTV in Hanoi, Vietnam. I would like to know if I can pay with a Visa card at the embassy.

I just got approved my DTV visa 😊 Is it normal to say employment prohibited when applying as a Freelancer?

Guys, it has been asked before, but I would like to get advice once again. the owner of the place where I am staying is not living in Thailand so I cannot get tm-30. Is there a possibility done 90 day report without tm-30? or what would be the consequences if I skip the report. Thanks everyone.

Hi everyone,

I am curious to know if anyone has been in a similar situation as me. I am currently on a Non-B visa with a work permit and am an American citizen. My wife has an O visa as a dependent and is an Austrian citizen.

I recently got a new job, that is a remote job for a non-Thai company. I want to change my visa over and my wife's over to the DTV visa for a number of reasons. It's the actual right thing to do, it's cheaper, etc.

My question is, has anyone successfully change their thai work permit and visa over to a DTV visa? Mine doesn't expire until August, so also curious if you had to cancel it before?

For those with dependents on their DTV visa, has anyone done it with a spouse of a different nationality than their own? Did you have to get your own DTV visa approved first, before they could apply for theirs? If so, how long did this take you and where did you do it?

It's a bit of a complex situation and we're thinking of canceling our visas before they expire and go to a neighboring country to apply for our DTV visas. Thanks for any advice!

Looking for firsthand experience only, not agents!

I’m planning to apply for the DTV this year as a UK citizen online via the London embassy while I’m at home in the UK and have two questions:

1. What should I use for “document indicating current location” to show I am in the UK?

2. Once the visa is granted (hopefully!), is there any stipulation about travelling direct from home country (UK) to Thailand? I’m asking because I was thinking about travelling first to Eastern Europe for some weeks and then onwards to Thailand.

Thank you for your help and advice!
