Hello, I plan to go to Vietnam in the 10th month of my first year on a non-immigrant OA visa. I will stay in Vietnam for 3 months. When I cross back into Thailand, will my visa expire? Or will it be renewed for a second year? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you leave Thailand on a non-immigrant OA visa and return after three months, your visa will expire unless you return before the expiration date. To maintain your visa status, you must also obtain a reentry permit if you plan to leave and re-enter during the validity period.

You will need to enter Thailand before the expiry date/enter before/valid until date written on the Visa to get another one year stamp. If you plan on leaving Thailand during that second year you will need to get a reentry permit to keep your stamp alive. If you're leaving on the 10th month and coming back 3 months later you can kiss your OA goodbye.
