Well, I arrived last night and I have to say that going through immigration and getting my 60 day tourist stamp was a breeze! They didn’t ask any questions or request any documentation as far as onward flight, proof of financial standing, nothing. Just a stamp in my passport, and a smile!

Have I just made a big mistake on 60 day tourist visa application? I only attached details of inbound flight, and only the first weeks hotel.

Hello there,

I hope you are all doing well. So, here’s my situation: I booked a flight months ago to return to Thailand on July 26 and since I planned on getting the Non O, I booked the cheapest return flight I could find in October, so within the 90 day limit (I didn’t plan on using this return flight as I will apply for the retirement visa). Now, it looks like I can return to Thailand a couple of weeks sooner so, I can easily and inexpensively change the flight to Thailand however, to change the return flight would be very expensive. Question: Can I keep the return flight date as it is (which would mean more than 90 days) and book a cheap onward flight just to show the airlines that I will exit Thailand within those 90 days or will they want this same ticket to show a return flight within the 90 days? If it is possible to use a cheap onward flight ticket as proof of exit, how many weeks/months in advance can it be booked? I would need to book it at least two months before I use it.

Has anyone does this before recently?

The option Singapore Airlines gave me was to cancel this flight, get an almost full refund and then book another flight, but it would cost me a lot more than the ticket I have now because I booked it way back in February. Of course, if that is the only/best option, I will do it. I look forward to reading your suggestions.

Thanks for your expertise.

Have a great day. Stay cool if you’re in Thailand at the moment.

Hello all, appreciate advice here - we’re applying for an SETV from the U.K. and will have an outgoing flight as part of the procedure. Does the outgoing flight need to be within 60 days? Even though we’ll get an extension?

Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone.

This question has been asked many times, but I didn't think I would be in the predicament, what is the best and quickest way of getting a onwards flight just to show the airline, I'm in UK and fly in the morning, thanks .

Hello all 👋🏼

planning to enter Thailand with a TR visa (mutliple Entry) and an one-way flight only with Thai Airways.

Does anyone has experience or know if an onward flight with a different airline is sufficient for Thai airways at Check-in?

Or can it happen that they insist of booking an return flight with them to cover costs for a possible refusal to enter Thailand at Immigration?

I’m submitting my 60 day tourist visa application today but there are a few questions i’m unsure of how to answer.

1.

Travel booking confirmation.

- Flight details showing applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand and onward flight to another destination.

There is only one box to submit my jpeg. i have only booked a one way flight so my flight itinerary will show this. how do i submit a second jpeg of an onward flight ?

2. Document that can verify applicant's current residency (Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency.).

- Applicants are requested to submit their local utility bills eg. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement.

I live with my Father so no bills are in my name & my phone is pay as you go. what can i use ?

Thanks in advance

We’re planning a one year sabbatical in Samui. Villa is rented and kids are registered in school. Flights from Canada are booked - arriving on august 17.

We only applied for our e-visas last week (ED visas for the kids, non-O accompanying for parents), as our paperwork from the Ministry of Education wasn’t completed until then.

What happens if we don’t have our visas before we arrive? Do we enter on 30 day tourist visas? Clearly we’ll have enough luggage for a longer stay, plus papers for a one year rental. Will we need onward flights?
