I’m on a Non-Ed Education Visa through MFU university (chiang rai). It expires each Nov. 1 if not extended. There is a standard process for obtaining the correct documents via student services which is usually pretty straightforward (I’m still studying full time) but today they told me that all of a sudden there’s a delay in services because of tourist high season and I won’t receive my documents until 7-10days (normally 3-5).

So, I guess I will have to overstay 3-5 days and pay the fines. It’s my first time encountering overstay.

Anyone know if this poses future difficulties for me regarding immigration? I’m assuming yes.

Does anyone know of a good Visa agent either in Patong or buriram or Bangkok? We have just had a holiday Visa application to Australia rejected for my partner because of mistakes made by my current agent. We really don't want to have to start again but may have to.

Any help appreciated

Have any freelancers successfully gotten the DTV visa with just their portfolio and not current contracts with clients?

Provided they meet all the other requirements.

Edit: I plan to apply in Taipei in the next two weeks

Any one have any recommendations for an agent to open a bank account on a dtv visa in Bangkok? Please only recommend people that have actually helped you open an account for the dtv

Thank you

Me and my boyfriend got our DTV in Hanoi! 🎉🎉

Submitted on morning of 21 Oct 2024.

Got the email on 25 Oct 2024, around 3pm BKK time.

A fast process given that on Tuesday (22 Oct) it was a Thai public holiday.

I applied using my own business, and my partner with a remote employment contract from a company outside Thailand.

Already on our way to the airport to fly back to our new home, Thailand 😻😻😻

This FB group gave us confidence that we would be approved, through the experience of others! Feel free to ask questions, its great to have a community 👍🏻

Hi, does anyone have experience applying for a DTV e-visa via embassies in China? I wanna know how strict they are on foreigners who don't live in China. And how long the visa takes?

Can someone obtain me a DTV visa without charging me the earth 😱 I don’t mind paying a fee but the prices these agents are asking are outrageous 🤬

Thanks in advance

Approved in 3 days by the Los Angeles Embassy! 🎉

I applied online for the workcation visa and I'm shocked it was approved so quickly! I'm a business owner/remote worker so here's what I provided in case anyone needs guidance:

* Personal bank account balance summary (stamped at a local branch): I did not need to submit a 3 or 6 month statement, the summary only had one page of my most recent transactions totaling over 500,000 THB

* Additional personal bank account balance summary (just to prove I had additional funds just in case)

* Employment contract: as I own my own business, I made a letter stating I am the full owner, have no employees or business operations physically present in Thailand, and additional information about the formation of my business

* EIN Letter: official documentation showing the registration of my business in the United States

* Evidence of current location: 2 electric/gas utility bills from my home

* Portfolio: 3 most recent income invoices and screenshots of my business's social media pages

* Passport scan and current photo

Because I've seen a hundred people experience this, if you update your passport scan after filling in the form fields, make sure your passport information is correct unless you want to lose another $400

So relieved and thrilled to be returning to my favorite place in the world! Good luck to everyone ❤️

Hello everyone! I had a follow up question for those of you who obtained the LTR visa. If any of you opted for getting the e-visa from your home country after you obtained your approval letter, have you had any issues with that choice going forward? I know it’s better to have the actual stamp, but since I cannot plan to be there within exactly 60 days from the point of approval, I was wondering what the e-visa experience was for you, both in terms of what it cost through the site, and in terms of going in and out of Thailand moving forward? Many thanks
