Me and my boyfriend got our DTV in Hanoi! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

Submitted on morning of 21 Oct 2024.

Got the email on 25 Oct 2024, around 3pm BKK time.

A fast process given that on Tuesday (22 Oct) it was a Thai public holiday.

I applied using my own business, and my partner with a remote employment contract from a company outside Thailand.

Already on our way to the airport to fly back to our new home, Thailand ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป

This FB group gave us confidence that we would be approved, through the experience of others! Feel free to ask questions, its great to have a community ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Congratulations!

Iโ€™m going to be in a similar situation since Iโ€™m owning my own business and will apply in Hanoi soon.

I would like to prepare with all the documents needed.

If itโ€™s ok for you, can you please share what you needed to send as a business owner? Thank you

these were what I submitted:

1. Business registration proof/license that has my name as owner of the business, and was issued by Singapore government officially. This pdf also showed what kind of industry I was in, which matched my portfolio

2. my portfolio. I am in the ecommerce industry so screenshots of my site was enough

That was all to prove my business. On top of that, my bank statements also showed money coming in and out that were labeled as business transactions/sales, reflecting my business name as well

What information was included with the employment contract for your partner? Salary? What company documents did you include?

he submitted a employment letter with company letterhead that included his appointment, salary and description which explicitly stated that he could work remotely from thailand. The letter was digitally signed and chopped by the HR department.

They did not request for a monthly income amount. They only required my bank statements that had active transactions coming into my account that was proof of income!

yes, bank statements and 500k+ in an active account (have recent transactions being made in and out), and not sitting in a bank with no activity

Is it a must to show bank statements with at least 500k THB? Or is the employer contract enough?

@เน€เธฎเน€เธ—เธ™ ********
the 500K is not negotiable, it's a must have requirement, some consulates only want to see the money in the bank, others want to see it in the bank up to 6 months prior.

Anonymous participant As my bank only generates monthly statements at the end of each month, my latest statement submitted was only up to the month of Sept. I did not include Oct as my monthly statement was not generated yet

PRINT OUT the PDF files that are your DTV visas and hand it with your passport to the officer when you stamp in

and

then CHECK that they stamped you in for 180 days when you get the passport back..

There have been more than a few people "bad stamped" on DTV's recently (not for the 180 days) ๐Ÿ˜•
