Does anyone know of a good Visa agent either in Patong or buriram or Bangkok? We have just had a holiday Visa application to Australia rejected for my partner because of mistakes made by my current agent. We really don't want to have to start again but may have to.

Any help appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about finding a reliable visa agent in Thailand for an Australian visa application after a previous rejection due to agent mistakes. Comments emphasize that agents in Thailand cannot assist with Australian visas effectively, suggesting individuals should apply online themselves. Several users recommend being transparent and thorough in the application process to provide a strong case for visa approval. Specific agents in Pattaya are mentioned as possible options, alongside advice to ensure all documentation is correct before submission.

Thanks for the answers. I think one of the issues was that the agency gives you a form letter as the sponsor explaining your intentions to support the visa applier. In our case didn't really explain our circumstances properly and how I have been financially supporting them in ways other than bank transfers (we've been living together for the bulk of the time we've known each other)

Unfortunately people believe visa agents who can easily obtain visas in Thailand by paying "tea money" to immigration officers can do the same for other countries. This is complete nonsense. All the agents here will do is to scam you out of your money to fill in the online form which you can easily do yourself . Like

above I hope you got a full refund from the agent you used. My experience with Australia for a tourist visa for a Thai is you have to demonstrate they have sufficient reason to return to Thailand. Most important is a statement from her employer stating length of service, position and salary. This alone is mega. Add to this bank statements showing good record of saving, any land or property documents showing her as the owner will be the cream on the top. It's not difficult. Since being with my lady (and we're not married, but have a long relationship) we've been successful in getting 3 x UK visas, 2 x Australia and 1 x Schengen. Of course, it gets easier as time goes on as they see she has a perfect immigration record. Work on it, you'll get there

For foreign Visas all an agent can give you is the experience of doing the process and getting it right first time, seems like you were very unlucky and chose a bad one. As above if it's online try yourself as you will have gathered most of the documentation required. I hope you were not charged by the agent btw as it should be no visa, no fee.

Agents in Thailand cannot help with visas to Australia. They're a scam. You do the application yourself online. I do it every year for my lady
