Hello everyone! I had a follow up question for those of you who obtained the LTR visa. If any of you opted for getting the e-visa from your home country after you obtained your approval letter, have you had any issues with that choice going forward? I know it’s better to have the actual stamp, but since I cannot plan to be there within exactly 60 days from the point of approval, I was wondering what the e-visa experience was for you, both in terms of what it cost through the site, and in terms of going in and out of Thailand moving forward? Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the experiences of individuals who obtained an e-visa for the LTR visa after receiving their approval letter. They wanted to know if there were any issues and the cost differences compared to traditional visa stamping. One commenter responded, highlighting that while the visa itself may not print a huge difference, obtaining an e-visa can be significantly more expensive, sometimes costing hundreds of dollars more than the advertised 50,000 baht. Additionally, users need to carry the printed e-visa for 10 years since it won't be stamped in the passport.

It costs a lot more. In the US it was hundreds of dollars more than the 50,000 baht that is advertised. Similar at any other embassy.

Visa wise not a huge difference but you have to carry the printed visa with you for the next 10 years since it's not in your passport.
