Hello I am based in Bangkok and am looking for a Muay Thai school that would be eligible for DTV Visa! Would be glad to hear your recommendations 😃

I’m a bit confused about the middle name part. Normally, I do have a middle name, but on my passport, it only shows under ā€œNameā€ and ā€œSurnameā€, there’s no separate middle name field. So should I include my entire given name under ā€œFirst Nameā€? But when I scanned my passport, it did place my middle name correctly, but I’m still not sure. As I said, even though I have two given names, they’re both listed under ā€œNameā€ on the passport.

Thank you!

Greetings.

TDAC Questions:

1. When I fill in the Country/Territory where you boarded field, do I put the country I'm departing from or the last country I'm arriving from in Thailand (since I have a connecting flight)?

2. Related to that, the flight number field is the one from the country I'm leaving from or the last flight I'm taking to Thailand?

3. In the visa number field, do I put the number of the last visa extension (Non O visa extension based on marriage), or the visa number that is from two years ago, a sticker from Laos (btw, the extension is on that visa)?

Thank you.

Hi Everyone,

My fiancĆ© (American) and I (Filipina) are planning to apply for the DTV Soft Power visa and are hoping to base ourselves in Chiang Mai. We’re currently looking for reputable agencies or schools that offer eligible courses for enrollment.

If you’ve had a good experience with any, we’d be so grateful for your recommendations. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions — thank you in advance!

My partner and I applied on the same date for our DTV.

Both had the same amount of funds, both submitted the exact same proof info for our soft power DTV, both 100% put our personal info correctly.

However mine was approved and his wasn’t.

We can’t get our heads around this at all and find it really unfair.

Can this just be down to which officer checks your case?

Seems really disheartening.

When you apply for a DTV through a Muay Thai program, do they just help the participant with their visa or will they also help a spouse & child get theirs as well?

have two questions regarding the DTV visa process:

1. I paid the visa fee on July 9 and submitted all documents on July 17, but the status is still "under review." I’ve seen people say it can take anywhere from 2 days to over a month depending on the embassy, but does anyone know the official processing time?

2. Regarding the 500,000 THB financial requirement: In the official checklist, it says the funds must be inibank account for 3 months. However, about two months ago, I emailed the embassy and asked if I could use money from a Thai money market fund (mutual fund), and they replied that it’s fine to sell the fund at the time of application, as long as the money is under my name. Now I'm reading completely different things, and I’m confused.

I’m honestly quite stressed about this process and really hope I won’t get rejected.

If I do get denied, can I apply again at a different embassy (like in Vietnam), or will it already be flagged in the system?ׄ

Thanks In advance šŸ™šŸ™

Need some advice. I applied for the DTV (Soft Power – Thai language) on July 31 and arrived in KL on August 3. So far, no updates. I called the embassy and was told:

* Proof of 6 months accommodation in Thailand is mandatory for all applicants (they’ll request it later)

* Most applicants are called in for an interview

* Processing time is usually a month

I own a condo in Thailand but don’t have the title deed or blue book with me — didn’t realize they’d be required. Given that, is it worth scrapping my KL application and restarting in Hanoi instead (same visa type)?

KL is draining. The embassy here is 100% stricter, and I’d rather not waste a month waiting for an interview that doesn’t guarantee approval. Open to any thoughts.

Hi Guys… I’m a UK Passport holder. I am currently in Chiang Mai. my tourist visa expires in a couple of weeks. I’m trying to work out which of the neighbouring countries is easiest to travel to and apply for a DTV from using the soft power option. I’m considering travel routes, ease of application process, speed, cost etc. I was going to book a 2 week stay somewhere but seems it might not be necessary as I’ve noticed some applications are processed in 3 or 4 days in some cases. I’d appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks in advance
