Can I submit my documents for a Thai DTV visa before making the payment in Vientiane?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Normally in Vientiane you would apply for the DTV online and then pay in cash at the embassy.

Has anyone paid in advance and then submitted the documents in the afternoon or the next day?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that you cannot submit your documents for the DTV visa before making the payment at the Thai embassy in Vientiane. It is necessary to complete the DTV e-Visa application online and generate a QR code, which must be printed out. This QR code is required for payment in cash at the embassy. Some participants confirmed that the embassy would likely not accept any documents without the QR code.

Thank you everyone

I’ll submit the documents first and then make the payment the following day

You won't get past the gate security without the QR code that the application generates for payment.

No, you or anyone cannot because you need to Submit a DTV E–Visa Application on the Thai eVisa Website:

Afterwards, the Thai eVisa Website will create a QR Code that you need to Download and PRINT out as a hard copy on Paper for the Thai Embassy/Consulate in Laos, then the Thai Embassy/Consulate can accept your Thai E–Visa Payment in Thai Baht CASH in–person

also, when you go to make Payment in Cash, they will not accept any documents of your E–Visa Application and will probably tell you to upload any documents to the Thai eVisa Website if there are any additional document requests
