Are there any current issues reported about re-entering Thailand at Nong Khai on a DTV visa?

Can anyone tell me if there have been any issues reported for re-entering at Nong Khai on DTV? As I understand they've got stricter there in the past year or so and now especially with the just announced limits on extensions for exempt etc.

Been in Thailand 1 year on DTV, after being back in my home country for 2 months and prior to that was here for 6 months on a METV. Was planning on just staying 2 nights and then coming back so does fit the profile of a border run if they're scrutinising that.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The initial inquiry discusses concerns about re-entering Thailand at Nong Khai on a DTV visa, particularly in light of rumors about stricter enforcement of immigration rules. The community responds with various experiences, indicating that as long as requirements are met, there should not be any issues, and recent travelers reported no problems. Some clarify that changes in rules regarding visa exemptions do not significantly affect those on DTV visas.

DTV was designed specifically not to have to worry about these things.

No issues for me when I came in through Nong Khai on my DTV last July.

When you comply with all requirements, being stricter should not be a problem.

When you don't comply with requirements, there always was a risk and maybe now the risk is a bit higher.

No reports of any issues at Nong Khai. Chiang Mai agent asking for border fees for another Laos crossing if you want same day. No need for fee for 2 night stay.

What are you on about? Who is telling people they are being strict with DTV? Those limits have nothing to do with DTV.

What are you afraid of?

There will be a stricter enforcement for people going in /out using Visa Exempt Entry.

Nothing to do with a person coming to Thailand with a DTV after spending some nights in Laos.

But be aware, your taxi can get a flat tire on the way to the border.
