😻 I HAVE 2 get my cat’s vaccinations 2day we r already pushing the time limit b4 flight

Only want info from ppl who have taken their pet to Thailand. Iv been on embassy, customs, livestock, etc websites Thai and Spain consulates, PetTraveller also. All websites say different things. Which vax are compulsory which are recommended.

Also I need the official documents / certificates the vet needs to fill out before/during her vax… but the links I’ve been given to docs/site pages have errors.

I’ve emailed all these places and called many times Spain Thai embassy and all those listed above in Thailand.

Apparently it’s the livestock import who has 100% answers but from my experience with gov sites they sometimes don’t update the current requirements.

Also their email to send documents to is bouncing back saying non existent, and the document link on their site doesn’t open.

The vet needs the official docs otherwise he can’t vax her

PLEASE IF U KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE HELL

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post discusses the requirements for bringing a cat to Thailand, focusing on necessary vaccinations and official documents. The author is seeking firsthand experiences regarding compulsory and recommended vaccinations, as well as the specific certificates that a veterinarian needs to complete. Responses indicate that vaccinations such as Feligen RCP and Nobivac Rabies are often required, and there's an emphasis on obtaining an import permit and health certificates. Recommendations include consulting with veterinary professionals and potentially using pet relocation services.

You need to talk to a vet in your home country to get the Fit to Fly certificate and any authorizations there. You also need to talk to Thailand and can only board a flight with an import certificate. Email

they helped us for 4000thb. It takes a few days... if you have that. All vaccines. And the health certificate from country you are leaving. Plus any authorizations. You can fly. On arrival... you need can't walk out... you need to go to VET LIVESTOCK OFFICE next to luggage with your pet. Pay. Show documents. Show the microchip is the same as the import permit. Then go to CUSTOMS and show cat. Pay tax. Then keep that receipt. Any time pet reenters no need to pay tax in Thailand again. That's it.

if you are not sure about paperwork, this company constantly bring pets from EU to TH and from TH to EU,USA, etc.

If you are planning to do it by yourself, there is already a photo in the answers about the procedure

Make sure you apply the import permit in advance. It took us 2 weeks to get the permit. The first week, no response at all, so we had to get a help from thai embassy in the USA. We had to push back our plan because of this and costs over $1000 extra.

Hi Simm

I brought my cat from London to Thailand which was painless as I used a pet transfer company from London and another company based in Bangkok.

She had two vaccinations Feligen RCP and Nobivac Rabies. The other requirement was to have the cat microchipped. I can’t help you with specific forms as I used a specialist company.

Hope this helps.
