2:- I am already having Valid Visit visa(Single entry), Would that be problem?

3:- i want to enter on my DTV Visa.

4:- I want to open bank account which bank should I go ? And which city.

5:- Should I carry Hotel bookings along with me?

I will be traveling with my wife , as she is having valid visit visa.

Hello, seeking advice on obtaining a non-immigrant O visa, as I want to retire here. I've been researching some myself, but only making marginal progress.

I'm American, over 50, single, currently living in Bangkok but want to relocate elsewhere in Thailand in the next few months.

Currently here on tourist visa expiring March 4th but can extend 30 days. I do have a rented condo and TM30

I have been receiving documented retirement of about $1500 for a few years, which is over 600k baht annually. If I understand correctly, I need to deposit @ 200k baht additionally to a Thai bank account to bring the total to the 800k total. I have not been able to open a bank account yet. I do have other assets in savings in an American bank.

Given my circumstances, what should I do? I don't mind parking the 200k in an account, especially since it doesn't have to be there 12 months each year.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

My husband and I are traveling in from March 6th-16th. I just want to triple check on what we need coming in.

Also, we will be staying in Rawai at some point. I was hoping to find any private chef recommendations for my husband and I. We would love to renew our vows as well so any recommendations would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Does anyone here actually know the internal process of the DTV application?

Once received by the embassy, does that particular embassy review all the documents and then chase everything up.

And then does that embassy then give final approval? Or does it get sent to Bangkok head office for approval?

Hi, I’m a French citizen and in December 2024 I married with my Thai wife. For the moment I only have a multiple touriste visa but in June I would like to change my visa for a non-o visa. Can I open a Thai bank account with my non-o visa and which documents should I have. Thanks a lot and have a great day. 🙂

My girlfriend is scheduled for a USA B2 VISA Appointment in Bangkok. She plans on being in the US about 2 weeks. She does not speak fluent English. I'm her travel partner who is a US Citizen and does not speak fluent Thai and at best minimal Thai.

It appears you cannot bring a smart phone into the interview room. That would eliminate both of us from using the smart phone to interpret the dialogue. And Eliminate me from the interview room to be of any value.

I read there are folks in Bangkok who are fluent in both English and Thai who will accompany a non English speaking person to the appointment.

Has anyone used or know of someone who has used that service and know the general cost?

We have a little over a month to get this together.

Last, are the a list of questions they ask that we could prepare for if we don't hire an interpreter? Maybe we can just do question practice testing.
