Update: I'd like to update this for anyone else in the same situation. I went to the Labor Bureau to cancel my work permit, and was told it was unnecessary to come there first. Additionally they told me I could not cancel the permit by myself: a Thai person must accompany me. So I went to immigration where everything

was correct: my current extension was cancelled, and I was given 7 days to leave the country, which is perfect. The process at immigration was finished quickly and before noon. Thank you everyone for your help.

Yes you're right. They said I didn't need to do anything. Just bring the TM30 to the next 90 day report. Done and done!

I mean just changed condo. Big I went to immigration today and they just said "No need to do anything. Just bring your new TM30 at your next 90 day." So, it's all over. Thanks for your time!

Ah ok. And what is that paperwork that you bring them in Buriram? I'm going to immigration in Chiang Mai today, but I don't know what they want. One website says every day I'm late it's a 200 baht fine, but 🤷‍♂️
