📢 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝟭𝟯 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the Immigration Bureau has introduced new regulations regarding visa extensions.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀:

1. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝘄𝗼 (𝟮) 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.

2. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝟯𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 of stay.

3. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝟳 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 of stay.

4. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 for visa extensions.

5. 𝗡𝗼 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲-𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬.

These updates aim to enhance regulatory efficiency and ensure compliance with current immigration policies.

𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲au

There is an actual official announcement made last Thursday.

I’m not returning to the states until 29 but everything I’ve heard points to the fiance visa being simplest.

I split my year between Thailand Vietnam Malaysia and Cambodia. I’m in groups for all four countries. The moderators try to maintain civility but for some reason the Thai groups are often tremendously toxic and the other groups are way less toxic. I suggest you do as I do and simply block any commentor the very first time they are obnoxious. There are pleasant people happy to help here as well. Unfortunately you have to filter out the ignorant miserable people.

It’s not a perfect system but what works for me. Certainly should be adapted. Honestly my favorite stop of the year is now. From February onward for about 4 months Central Vietnam is ideal. Mildest weather of the year only occasionally above 90. This year I’ll follow it up with Kuala Lumpur. I’ve been told the weather is mostly consistent there and it has been for my visits in addition even though it’s warm and there can be rains there is a tremendous amount you can do indoors there. There is also very advanced infrastructure that eliminates any concerns about flooding. Rains tend to be intense but relatively short in duration. I think you can visit there most any time. Then I’m actually going to dip back into central Vietnam it will be hot but dry right up until the start of October. By then Cambodia is getting ok but there and Thailand are mostly best by November. I aim primarily to avoid the highest heat first then rains. While I like central Vietnam a great deal I wouldn’t go there October to January. Unfortunately air pollution is also factoring into my travel as well. I would avoid burning season February onward in places like Chiangmai and I’d monitor it in Hanoi and Bangkok in my travels as well.

In Hoi A now. This year is just a tiny bit cooler than last year but warming up day by day.

Unfortunately I’m willing to bet the policy in your country (most) would be more restrictive towards Thai citizens.
