You would rather have it difficult so that serious people may have a great visa guaranteed instead of having to deal with rules and tea money. Check what's happening on other visas instead of focusing only on DTV.

I wish more profiles like yours would come with the DTV, but as you know, many are exploiting the system to get a cheap visa. The DTV is still far too easy to obtain. The day real requirements such as a minimum income are implemented, people may start seeing this visa differently. In your case, you may want it to get stricter.

Exactly. I wish they had avoided the Soft Power approach and instead set a minimum income requirement to filter applicants. I'm okay with the ones on ongoing activities but how many are doing cooking classes for 5 years seriously?

Anonymous participant 227 Volunteer visa for example. Or crackdown on Education visa at the border. Some visas got canceled due to abuses.
