Fred Naancome Wijnands that's exactly how I acquired my non o visa ,but did have with one immigration officer who insisted I had to leave Thailand to apply for it ,fortunately I persevered and another io granted it ,it's down to the individual interpretation

A friend used an agent when he first came to Thailand, he then deposited 800,000 3 months before renewing, immigration checked his bank statement and noted the discrepancy he was "fined" 10,000 baht but got his extension, its best to do things right as not all immigration officers will be that "friendly" 😀😀😀

I transfered 2 million baht via my uk bank direct to bkk cost 25 pounds ,would have cost a lot more with wise ,but since I sent money via my bank in the uk i have had to provide information to my uk bank twice in 2 years ,however my wife's money i transfer into my uk account so she has never actually made an overseas transfer and has had no problems 😊

John Slater I too have a joint account for savings ,an account in just my name for visa purposes, our account for monthly budget is in the wife's name with kasikorn ,I recently opened an account in just my name with kasikorn with just my id card and yellow book ,they didn't even ask for my passport ,the only problem with bangkok bank is you need to give notice to get a 12 month statement for visa purposes, kasikorn not a problem 👌

Michael Flynn Michael Flynn only easy if your girlfriend has a reputable job ,land ownership ,my 2 friends were both turned down ,one drives a saleng taxi in kanchanaburi and he supplements her earnings with money from England.the other is actually married to him as he is near retirement age and will be coming to live in Thailand soon, runs a fruit stall in pattaya but has been turned down for a tourist visa

My own experience my wife was turned down a tourist visa ,but granted a settlement visa ,after 10 years we applied for a tourist visa for her son while he was at university, it was turned down ,we appealed the decision and it was overturned ,yet another friend got a visa with no problem and she was a bargirl in pattaya ,pay your money take a chance but its far from easy 😀
