Do a search on Airbnb and you can rent long term and figure out later where you want to be.

Go to immigration get your Certificate of Residence and then open bank account(s). I opened mine with Kungsri for my monthly use and Kadikorn to hold my required amount for my extension.

You can’t do it until your 800,000 Thai Baht have been in your account for 2 months — I would imagine you should know this.
