What exactly do you mean by "sending back " denied entry or questioned more ?

I totally agree , if they were to put a definitive amount of days allowed in a certain amount of time on visa exempt it would be clearer . Everyone would know where they stand , even the I.O'S . It would also save them additional work because less people would attempt to break or bend the rules. If someone attempted to break the rules they deserve to be denied .

Thank you . I've just calculated 55 days in the last 6 months . 70 days in total In the last 11 months . That's not including the upcoming trip obviously.

Sorry my maths was wrong it's 110 days in Thailand over a 13 month period.

OK, thanks . I've spent a total of 70 days in Thailand in the last year , 1 12 day visa exempt , 20 day visa exempt then 33 days METV , my METV is valid until end of June, like I said I arrive next week for 6 weeks . Which in total will be 120 days in Thailand in total over a period of 13 months .

I assume you are talking about visa exempt entries only . I entered Thailand in mid January on an METV , stayed 33 days , I am going back next week for 6 weeks on the same METV , which should be OK right ?

I totally agree with you , the friend was told to do the TM30 at immigration and the friend thought the TM30 was some sort of visa and relayed this to the OP

The purpose of your visit is holiday , therefore a tourist visa does match your purpose , or am I being naive.
