I assume you are talking about trying to re-enter straight away after your first 60+30 visa exempt entry has expired . There is less chance of you getting denied entry if you stay out of Thailand for a few months ?

It's a 6 month multiple entry tourist visa.

Yes , I got one from the Thai embassy in London last year . It's done online , very straightforward only a few documents needed to upload and mine was approved in less than a week .

Yes exactly , it's the convenience of the visa exemption , if there was rules and regulations clearly stated to the use of it people would follow the rules . It's the ambiguity of the rules , nobody seems to know even the I.O's !
