Most likely is that you need to take the income letter from your embassy and get it translated in Thai by an official translator ( your embassy will have a list and there should be one located near by ) .

You LL need to take that translation back to your embassy so they can stamp it as conform .

Them head out to the Thai ministry of foreign affairs ( mofa ) so they can apply their stamp to the Thai translation as well.

Mofa has got a branch in MBK . You LL need to book an appointment online and specify you need an express service .

They open at 10am . Bring copies of passport . Drop off the paperwork , come back by 3pm and it will be ready for you same day.

Be aware that mofa stamped translation are only valid 3 months .

I have done this multiple time for french paper work in one day . Tight but works

1/ 1st appointment at embassy to get the legal paper needed

2/ appointment at translator shop

3/ 2nd appointment at embassy to get the official translation stamp

4/ drop off translation at mofa

5/ pick up stamped translation at mofa.

Makes for a fun day lol

Helping your wife in her field is a no go . That's taking work away from a Thai national .

You just need someone taking a picture and reporting you to immigration and you are in for a 20 to 40 k fine .

A foreigner has recently been made to pay a fine for helping his wife carrying boxes back to her car after a second hand market she had a stall in .

No one is going to bother you for tending to your own garden .

.but technically any action that could be done by a Thai person against payment can be considered work . Unfortunately I can't afford a private chef to cook me 2 eggs in the morning nor a nurse to wipe my bottom everytime I pop to the loo .

Thankfully prostitution is illegal otherwise I would have to pay a Thai guy to f my wife ....

My solicitor charges me 8k .

I have all paperwork / money in the bank / tambien ban and so on .

I Send it her all , she check with her contact at immigration that it s all there and make an appointment for us .

I just pop in , sign countless pieces of paper , take a picture and am done .

Yes I could pay 2k instead of 8k doing it all by myself but the 6k extra is worth it to have it all streamlined and building a good relationship with a local solicitor who can make things a lot easier with various administration when needed .

What's even more infuriating is that if you were not British but held a EU passport since you met her before Brexit the British would not have any say about it..

I am French , got married in Thailand 12 years ago and it was at the time a very simple and free process for me to bring her to UK under EU settlement rules

My British mate had to jump through hoops and over over 1k to do the same.

So messed up .

I hope you can get it sorted,

you can rent your condo as a foreigner. Technically you need a Thai person to handle visits and paperwork as this is considered work.

Please note that you won't be able to rent your condo legally for period shorter than 1month ( but you will of course find a lot of condos to rent on a daily basis on air bnb...)
