I’ve run into a couple instances where a foreigner had multiple wives in different countries (Thailand, Philippines, and Malaysia) I think and the other had multiple Thai wives which his current Thai wife knew nothing about until he had visa issues and she couldn’t help.

many Issan weddings are unregistered (just the village ceremony) which works fine for many locals or multi wife foreigners but not for anyone needing official documentation.

Yes. Needs to be registered at the local amphur too. Cannot be an Issan style (unregistered) only wedding.

BB did that to me at the branch my GF used. I said no. Tried another branch of BB and got an account without any mention of insurance. In a sense it’s a bribe because they get commission (I’m guessing).

Have you noticed the sidewalks, zebra crossings, driving etc here in Thailand? That pretty much sums up what kind of protection you can expect as a consumer. Probably should keep your shopping to the Central brand if you want to expect “quality” like back home.
