If I was to order something off say Amazon in the Uk for the Uk market and delivered to the Uk, the items I order have to be of a certain quality/ tested to certain standards etc all protected in law with heavy penalties for breaches of say the Sale Of Goods Act etc
Does the same apply under a Thai law when/ if living in Thailand, if you order goods online from say Lazada for example, does the law offer any protection to the purchaser (especially if said purchaser is an Expat)
Thanks in advance
“Example being, a while back, I ordered some LED light bulbs from AliExpress, something I’ve been doing for 15+ years, the arrived to the UK, live wires at mains voltage easily touchable when handelling the bulbs, a death trap for anyone silly enough (or naive enough) to use them and looking at the reviews, thousands had. My due diligence tests immediately highlighted the dangers, messaged the supplier with said dangers and a full refund was immediately given with no expectations for me to return the items, sadly the items are still on sale”
