I've done it via email through the Bangkok Embassy and they mail you the letter. However, the Hua Hin immigration requires a stamp from Thai foreign affairs which is also located in Bangkok.

like it matters? You buy a 60day visa and have flights based on the visa, then they stamp you in for 57 days?

I've had a few short overstays less than 3 days each time. Never had a stamp and it's never been mentioned.

I obviously took my passport. I also took residency contract with rental receipts. There was not much to it and $500baht.

I went to immigration and got a letter from them for 500baht and I'm on a tourist visa.
