I don’t know why people keep calling me out for this. I’ve been to Thailand 4 times, this is the 5th. I’m just saying what I’ve done, what’s worked for me and the result. You all do what you need to do, I’ll keep applying online and making my life easier instead of going to immigration. Y’all do what works for you. 🤷‍♂️

Yes I did, that’s why I caps the approve. I’ve never had to go in. I’ve heard mixed things and I don’t know what the difference is. The only thing I can think of is people that are bouncing around Thailand vs the people staying put in one place.

Glad I’m not the only one. I’ve done this too and got it APPROVED. It’s possible. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve seen a lot of comments saying “They never said you could extend blah blah” It clearly states that you can extend another 180 days. That gives you a full year without leaving. You can file this extension 1 time PER ENTRY. So technically if Thailand followed their own DTV policies you should be able to extend and stay a year per entry before leaving the country and coming back.

I heard Hua Hin was to be the friendliest place to do this, seems things have changed there as well. I never heard about needing a “Thai Bank Account” in order to extend. Nowhere on their website does it say that so it seems that embassy or maybe Hua Hin in general doesn’t want tourists there and it’s there way of getting rid of people. Who knows.
