I think it is more about the courtesy than virus protection. The local people here seem wearing musk 24x7, and made me feel guilty if I am not wearing.

I just got in from Canada 3 days ago. Thailand won’t ask, but the airline in Vancouver did. My flight was China Airlines, and I heard Air Canada had the same issue in the past. Please prepare an onward flight ticket within the 45 exemption due date, otherwise you may hit rock at the airport before taking off. I bought one fake onward ticket to resolve it, cost $10 USD. The ticket is searchable, and the counter guy did search it for the validation.
