Is there a time limit for activating a DTV visa once issued before entering Thailand?

You might want to reach out to the embassy where you got the visa and ask this question. It would be a sad state of affairs for you to show up with the expectation of being able to stay for 6 months and wind up with a 60 day visa exemption stamp.
