Been in Hanoi. Visa was approved in 5 weekdays. I booked beforehand for a week and stated in the docs to the embassy I will stay till visa is issued and would postpone the flight if neccessary.

yea, mine was 5 days. I've talked to someone who had only 3 days.

This ain't a race though. The week prior before I sent my application there was a scheduled power outake and a one day holiday. And this week Monday was a holiday too. I assume there was more work for embassy. I'm just happy I got approved before the next longer holiday.

Anonymous participant well, I planned the trip before the rejections rolled in all of sudden...so I was in Hanoi anyway. I wouldn't have picked another place really.
