If he's not 50 years old, doesn't have a condo or a job then he's not going to be getting that visa so... He can hold off on the bank account until he's more established in the country.

You are both able to write the review when you are outside of thailand... The Thai laws pertain to when you are in the Thai jurisdiction...

it's a conflict of interest for them to be admin, they can just kick out any other lawyers, firms that want to give advice in this group, or offer their services etc...

you need to move to a permanent visa if you intend on living here permanently. You do not need a Thai bank account to transfer money to other Thai bank accounts or to withdraw cash from ATMs. You can't even get a bank account on a 5-year DTV visa and this is the way it should be, to ensure that the country doesn't become destabilised. I recommend moving to a more permanent visa before making long-term plans.
