if you plan long stay, open a thai currency account only, i am told withdrawal from foreign currency accoung.cost 1% for USD deposit, and 2% for other currency like HKD!

not meaningful to open.bank account if you do.not stay long in thailand, bank will cancel or freeze it.for no activity after say one year?

the mandatory health insurance for OA visa was first implemented nov 2019, so.it is quite strange visa renewal possible without immigration asked for it, anyway that saves a lot.of costly insurance premium for a few years for you!
