My question is for those who applied for the DTV from Spain but don’t hold a Spanish passport. I have a Spanish nomad visa and ID for Spain, tax records etc. but my passport is Australian.
My questions are;
1-The criminal record cleanrance I got was date early 2024, so I need to request a new one for 2025 for DTV Thailand?
2-Im freelance but the main company that I have a letter authorizing Iand stating I have permission to work remotely indefiniteley that letter was dated for the Spanish visa in 2024, do I need to get an updated one for 2025?
3-The contract I have with that client was made and dated 2022 which also says there is no end date for this contract. For Thai DTC would I need to get an updated contract dated and signed for 2025? Or would the original contract be suffice?
4-I imagine I need to get my Spanish digital nomad visa approval translated from Spanish to English to give in my Thai application, should I do that through the Australian embassy, or any other easier options that would be suffice?
5-Also I imagine I need to translate my Spanish tax document and receipt from Spanish to English, once again any recommendations who to go through?
6- Do any documents need to be sworn translated by someone if so who in Spain? Or should I do that through the Australian embassy.
7-Anyone have any opinion on whether it would be better putting my application through Thai Embassy Madrid or Thailand Consulate Barcelona? ( I live in Barcelona) but which ever has more approval rate and speedy approval would be best.
8-I saw somewhere an intent letter needs to be written by me, what should I include in this letter?
9- Apart from bank statements, invoices, e-visa, my clients company good standing cert, my portfolio of experience in my industry, my CV, Full passport photos, NIE/TIE, is there anything else I’m forgetting?
10-Do I need to get private health insurance and if so does that need to be done before my application and included in it? If so any insurance recommendations?
11- Do I need to book a flight before I put my application in?
12- Do I need to book accomodation and include that in my application? If so what is the minimum length of accom booking they like to see?
13- Lastly I’ll be bringing my cat with me, she will have her passport, rabies vax and all other vax and paperwork up to date, do I need to mention she will be coming with me in the application?
Thank you for reading this and any advice assistance you can give. 🙏
Hello again, I’m looking up what documents I need to renew my 12month retirement visa. Do I now need health insurance, I didn’t need it when I applied initially (I applied in Thailand nit from my home country UK). TIA
I’m completing the Non-OA visa application, and have a few questions.
The application requests the “7. Foreign Insurance Certificate, as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, must be completed, signed, and stamped by the insurance company. The form can be downloaded from [members only]”.
The documents provided by the insurance company provide the exact same information as required in the form, but have a slightly different appearance than the downloaded form.
Should I have the exact form completed or is the priority to provide the required information? Any idea as to what would be acceptable to the embassy?
*The other issue is that the insurance policy is 5MB instead of 3MB or smaller. “6. Health Insurance issued by a Thai or foreign insurer, covering general illnesses, including COVID-19, with a minimum insured sum of 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB. “*
*What are the expectations here? Do they need the entire document? Is there a reliable free app that can further downsize the original 18 page PDF? *
I used a trial of Adobe Acrobat to compress the file further. It looked terrible, so I split the original file in half and compressed each half separately and rejoined them. It's both under the 3MB limit and more legible.
I’m applying for a Thai non O-A visa. [members only]
One of the requirements is to provide a ”Recent bank statement for the last three months showing the applicant's name and ending balance of no less than $30,000 or proof of monthly income of not less than $2,500/month) along with the current bank statement showing incoming income”. I meet the $2,500/month requirement, though I only had the $30,000 for two months.
The doubt is that I usually keep the vast majority invested and not in a bank account.
Would it be beneficial to include a formal document from my investment account that indicates the total amount invested? The amount is significantly higher than the requirement, amounting to 800,000 baht.
Should I wait an additional month to submit my application?
I already rented a place to live. Should I provide a copy of the documentation from the home lease?
Is the application process based solely on uploading documents to the website or are the documents mailed to the embassy?
Thank you in advance.
PS: I already have Thai health insurance, completed the background check, the health certificate, a copy of my passport, and recent photos. My lease starts August 15.
I am getting married to my Thai partner in early July and wish to retire in Thailand. I have started to an application for a non o visa and I got extremely bogged down around the fourth page asking for things like proof of medical insurance and funds in a Thai bank account as well as a medical certificate and police clearance. Am I approaching this the right way. I am from Australia. I'm sure that this kind of question has been asked repeatedly however, any constructive information would be greatly appreciated. I intend to register our marriage and apply for a spousal visa.
Retirement extension: every year I try to make a perfect application but every year I am thwarted! Today I had all the documents on the current list. 10 is a Google map of your house with lat and long. No use printing it out and writing on it. No, you need to drop a pin on it to show the lat and long. Fortunately the copy shop near room 103 could do this. Print with north to the top of the paper. Also, the photos of you in front of your house showing the house number should be printed across the page, not full page. I think this is so everything can be understood without rotating any document 90 degrees.
When I picked up the document list a couple of days ago they gave me form 2, form 9 and 11 I think which are for acknowledging that you know the penalties for contravening the terms of your extension.
However, it was effecient and helpful; only an hour from entering the bank for letter and statement until departing Immigration. Collect passport at 4pm next day.
Hello. Great service. Thanks. I have an OA visa from my home country. I will be re-entering Thailand about 7 days before expiration. I wanted to confirm that with a new 12 month health insurance certificate they will extend the visa by 12 months at the airport as I re-enter?
