Paul Tidy I'm the same, I'm told Wise has some kind of association with Kbank and this is why transfers to Kbank almost instant. Was a hassle when Kbank had a 50k daily withdraw limit although this has been lifted.

i had that limit with them, just recently the app allowed a limit increase to 200k with face id. had the account about 12 months now

When I applied for mine I went to the transport office desk, and asked "can you help me please" to obtain a Thai driving licence. Maybe I was lucky, the young lady went through the requirements, gave me a letter for immigration to reply to, and a link + registration code to complete the video test. She gave me her LINE contact in case I had more questions. About a week later she sent me a message to say I could come in to collect my licence, photo done and licence printed.

Anyway, transport office issues licences, I'm a bit bored today hence the story telling 555

i have internet banking with bangkok and kasikorn banks. rarely use but consider it a backup if i lose phone or something

banks in Thailand can indeed hold your money, lock your account and report same to some police division that is practically impossible to talk to. I'm talking from personal experience.
