if you cancel with Qatar good luck ever getting you money back or credit. I used them for years and rescheduled flights MANY times with no issue, just had to pay the fare difference if any. Tried to cancel the last time and still haven't gotten credit back. When you call they say they forwarded it to the cancelation department, which of course you can't talk to and they have no access to the status. They tell you that you will receive an email in a couple of weeks. After a month I call again, they said the record showed that I didn't want to cancel, so we start the process over. I called about 5 different times over several months and there was either some excuse as to why I didn't receive the email 2 weeks later. I'm 100% convinced they give you the runaround on purpose so people just eventually give up.

I know Qatar themselves do not, they only follow destination and transit country requirements. I'm not sure if Doha requires a test for transit, but I do know Qatars website is really good and lists the requirements. I believe they even email you exactly what is needed once you book your flight.

Would you rather find out you are positive before you board and reschedule or find out when you land and get thrown into quarantine?

I would wager she was denied because she was only your girlfriend at the time. Everything my wife and I have seen is that is almost a guaranteed rejection and has been for many many years.

not sure if you are still waiting for the interview, but you can check the calendar online and move it up if an appointment comes available. My wife checked daily and was able to move hers up from about 3 months to 1 month after applying. This was at CM which I think has a shorter wait list than Bangkok to start with.

unfortunately she will not be able to hide an American fiance or boyfriend if there is any social media of them. Aon had to give her social media accounts to them at the interview. They looked at them and knew everything as a result. They didn't learn anything they didn't already know since I had written an invitation letter, but if she had given any other reason than to see me they would've known she was lying. I assume it is a lot better to be honest about everything.

So far I've seen a lot of people say they have been successful getting a tourist visa for their wife, including me. Has anyone been successful in getting their girlfriend or fiance a tourist visa (not fiance visa)? Back when my wife was only my girlfriend she was denied simply because she had an American boyfriend because they thought she would overstay. Told her to apply for the fiance visa instead. We reapplied for a tourist visa after we were married and she was approved.

100% agree. I see a lot of questions asked on here that literally take 30 seconds to search and the very first bullet point on the very first result gave the answer they were looking for. Instead they ask on here and get conflicting and outdated answers.

I think you are confusing test and go with the Thailand Pass. Everybody entering needs to apply for the Thai pass, test and go is just one of the schemes you can select. You won't even be able to board the plane without it

When are you coming? After April 1st the pre-flight test is no longer needed.
