I went from 30 days visa exempt Australian. Then 30 extension then fly out of Thailand to Vietnam then 30 visa exempt and went to immigration two days later for 30 days extension which gave me the time to apply for retirement visa. First step 90 days retirement visa, 60 days later applied for 12 months extension three weeks later done

true and to get a bank account you generally need 30 days plus on your visa for bank of Bangkok to issue a bank account and statement for your 12 month extension
Darin ********
That is the first step you now have 90 day retirement visa non-0 before 08 October you need to do your 12 month extension on your retirement visa with regular 90 day report

30 days visa exempt on arrival the go to immigration for 30 days extension 1900 baht plus tm30 and three passport size photos straight forward but expect to waste a day waiting on in popular tourist destinations

I am now on retirement visa and transfer a minimum of 65-100k baht per month, must do 65k+ every month for 12 months without a break prior to renewing. Then get bank book updated and letter from bank. This way you don’t need 800k in bank account

I’m currently working on my marriage visa and don’t think it would be a problem. This was at BBK airport and l got a female Muslim immigration officer under training with a old female immigration officer so hopefully no problem when l go to Buriram immigration office next week and attempt an extension

I’m Australian and entered Thailand on 30 days visa exempt, got 30 days extension then went to Vietnam for two days, on return l was questioned and told l would only be permitted to stay 30 more days. They asked if l had a flight booked out of Thailand to which l replied not yet, they granted me 30 days exemption and I will be going to immigration next week to see if l can get 30 days extension
