Japan has specific rules for every Country on the planet, in terms of entering the country….in my case with a US passport, they stamped me in for 90 days….my Thai wife was stamped in for 30 days….

My wife tells me, that most Immigration Staff are over worked and underpaid. And I get it…..don’t rock the boat is my approach when it comes to Thai Immigration Service….

I see the advantages (for me) of maintaining a US bank account, US cell phone and US address, while living in Thailand. Others do not, but this approach makes it easy for me to transfer funds to my Krungthai bank account, using those funds to live on…..one perspective only…not necessarily the model for anyone else..
