I used my Non O Visa to open my bank account. Can’t remember the cost but it was less than $200.

Type of Visa you possess determines whether you can open a bank account. They don’t play games in this department…watch some You Tube videos, look up long term visa in Thailand…ton of info…here you get the benefit of some experience and a ton of opinions….

Cambodia does not appeal to me because my wife is Thai and I have adopted her culture with all of its faults and foibles..

When I applied from the US I submitted year end tax records that showed my annual net. Those documents were accepted and my Visa was approved 2 months later. When I arrived with my 3 month Non O visa, I opened a bank account at Krungthai bank and started to deposit funds. All done in 2024. Visa renewed last December
