Put this Agent is telling her I still have to have more money in my account all I find is I had to earn, which I do over 18 and a half thousand am I missing something or am i being taken for a ride?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on the challenges and requirements for a Thai wife seeking a visa to visit the UK, particularly concerns over financial prerequisites and the role of visa agents. The original poster is unsure about the amount of money needed in their UK bank account to sponsor the visa, given that they have already experienced a visa rejection based on what they perceive as 'silly reasons.' Community responses primarily caution against reliance on agents, emphasizing that the wife may not need to exhibit significant funds of her own, as sponsorship criteria focus more on the husband's income. There are mentions of changes in visa regulations and expectations about proof of relationship and return to Thailand. Many users suggest proceeding with caution regarding financial commitments, with some expressing skepticism about the agent's practices.
