By air there is no limit. However by land only 2 times per callender year

By air there is no limit. However its limited to 2 border bounce per callander year though.

A visa is not a guarantee that you will be allowed to enter in the kingdom. It all depends on the immigration officers. They have to check certain things i.e. 20K baht , accomodation proof, onward travel confirmation, etc.

Yes 5 months possible without any hassle. Just keep in mind that border run are only allowed twice a year. By air there is no limit.
