UPDATE. Approved on the 10th working day.

In Thai now so a hop over the border.

No questions regarding visa exemption and departure flight

 just relied on past experience. Since the evisa inception I've only waited 2-3 days on past applications

Do I need to leave Thailand to change my Non O extension to a Non B for a new job?

Employer probably doesn't know that you can. I had to inform mine and they checked themselves that can get a WP on a non-o. Just need kids docs.
