it's not really about being positive, it's about being realistic. Speculation doesn't help (news reports have said borders will remain closed until September - October) only time will tell at this point 😊 wait for announcements and sit tight

thanks for the reply, I happen to agree with you there. I rather have an extension that's hard on my passport, especially when I have the chance to. This amnesty and automatic extension will not come without a cost, it's simply to good to be true. I'm sure we will know more when the final statement is made and the law is official. I will pop by immigration May 1st and see what they say. Cheers, I appreciate all the good work everyone does here

Im a little concerned when my tourist visa (multiple tourist visa) expires on May 12. I was planning on extending for another 30 days at Chiang Mai Immigration. I understand that visas are automatically extended to July 30, however when i leave Thailand (when flights are available) will immigration stamp my passport and mark that I was over staying?(which could affect me getting other visas in the future) And it might seem irrational, i'm concerned that they will charge me for the overstay, I understand with Covid 19 this is an extremely unprecedented situation. Any thoughts or comments would help
