She might not even be allowed to leave the Philippines with the visa history she has... I suggest we get you married and get her a visa dependent on yours. ED visas are not long term visas.

Do I need to transfer my son's visa and entry stamp to his new British passport before renewal?

It’s best to transfer sooner if you can as the letter from the embassy is dated. That being said they probably won’t give you hassle if you wait. We bring out transfers for our clients all of the time. It doesn’t usually take too long.

Is an email from my friend and a copy of their ID sufficient for Thai immigration when staying with them?

Hey Chris. Yes, you should be fine. That’s more than what some others have. No need to give them the email unless they ask for it. Just fill out the address in the arrival card and give it to them with your passport. If they give you a problem just let me know. Enjoy your time and be sure to drink plenty of water as it is getting hot!!!
