Put it off for 9 months and take a course with a diploma at the end of it for teaching English...International schools pay good salaries which go up considerably after a while.
.they also pay for accommodation and set you up with an agent they use on a regular basis...2: international teachers together you can live like kings after around 2 years. starting a business is dodgy.not many make it pay...if you do your customer base should be Thai people there's 66 million of them to sell to..get any idea of a a bar or catering for foreigners...you would be hard pushed to survive
Go to a major bank with your passport etc and tell them you would like to open an account for the purpose of buying a condominium.....have the names of 2 or 3 you are considering just in case they ask. I did this and walked out with an account and an Atm. I opened another one since then and I had to take two my landlady and her husband with her blue book and a letter from immigration it took hours......it was a BKK Bank in a small town......If I had gone to the next town all I would have needed was a letter from immigration according to the manager.....so all branches are not the same
I live in Sakon and rent assholes won't give me a yellow book unless I go to British embassy in Bkk and get a residence stamped certificate....and I could live in a tent for all they know at 75 and unwell they ask too much .,it's a total nonsense
No you need 3 months rent 2 of which is your deposit.........also make sure you do a 90 day report. Your landlord should also report you as staying there
Get yourself to Thailand and do it here.........lots of agents can sort it for you hassle free..........none better than Thai Visa Centre Bang Na Bangkok
20 years ago I talked down about a Thai Bargirl in front of hi so wealthy Thai lady who angrily put me in my place by telling me that girl never had the opportunities I grew up with
