TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat is seeking recommendations for dentists in Bangkok for dental implants and bridge repair, as Bumrungrad seems expensive. Various commenters provided suggestions for dental clinics including BCD Bangkok Dental Clinic, Asavanant Clinic, Bangkok Smile, Smile Soi 5, and several others. Some users expressed that there are many affordable and high-quality dental practices available in Thailand, emphasizing the importance of avoiding hospitals for routine dental work to save costs. Others shared personal experiences regarding dental work prices and options, including mentions of dental tourism in Turkey and Vietnam as alternative solutions.
John my dentist in Australia said that one implant is $6000, so $18,000 for what I’ve had done.
$3,800 in Thailand + 3 times 6000 baht for the crowns.

It’s probably the best dental clinic I’ve been to and I’ve been to many. Great prices. They give immediate appointments and will pick you up and bring you home afterwards.

Everything is getting more expensive in BKK. Only going to get worse with the DTV , Elite visas offered willie nilly. Thailand is supposed to be a destination for Retirees only. Two bedroom apartments are listed for 120,000 bahts a month in Thonglor. That’s almost Manhattan’s prices!
Apartment prices have shot up drastically this year. Although i am looking for a modest brand-less one bed apartment in a good area like Thonglor, the listings have been crazy. Some brand names two-bedroom apartments such as Mandarin or Ritz Carlton are asking an exuberant 200k bahts/month. Nothing special about these apartments to justify the high rent! Again, it is not for me but eventually all prices are tied and correlate together
My husband and I both had alot of work done at Edelweiss last year. It was absolutely high quality care. They list all their prices online and get back to you quickly via phone/email. I even claimed the work with my US dental insurance and Edelweiss helped me through that process. 'Retired working for you' youtuber has a whole video about Edelweiss. That's how we found it. It's a brand new, state of the arr facility and the dental work was wonderful. They're patient, professional and very skilled. It's a relaxing environment and felt like a spa,not a dentist.

60,000+ baht per implant. That's £1400 and up. UK prices are £1500-3000. The risk, no matter where the surgery occurs and who does it, is risk of infection during implant ossification. Every patient is different. How does Thai medical liability law compare to elsewhere?

Depending on the implant you choose as well, korea brands much cheaper starting from 30,000 Baht. I use straumann at government dental hospital cost me just a little under 60,000 Baht from the estimate of 80,000 Baht [ but I didnt need gum or bone graft ]
actually they have specialists for everything there. I went for an initial consult with an prosthodontist who set up a treatment plan for me (300 baht) I had a deep cleaning (one Dentist) then removal of three wisdom teeth (another dentist) and a filling (3rd dentist). Everything was done amazingly and no pain even after removing wisdom teeth (3 during same appointment).
My highest recommendations to this place. They respond very quick on messenger as well.
Bangkok international dental hospital on Sukhumvit Soi 2.
On my next visit I will have my implant done there.

Bumrungrad is expensive but for good reason feel sure in bkk must n loads of dentists
who and we're in thailand would be similar to turkey for price 12 teeth on 6 implants top jaw crowns lower jaw. Can I be pointed in the direction of a known good dentist help I'm in thailand now
thank I still might go to turkey if I can't find while I'm here in thailand if your happy I will have a look at secil how many implants did you have if you don't mind me asking.....
I’ve got 3 implants and 2 bridges, the rest are crowns. You have to do 2 trips and 6 months apart if you need implants, as the dentist puts the screw in the gum and you have to wait for it to heal, I’m going back next April to complete the work, I also had to have a bone graft and a sinus lift as I had so many teeth missing at the back. With the price it included vip transport from the airport also b and breakfast at a lovely hotel on the beach with pool, 10 mins drive to the clinic, they collect and drop you off for every appointment and return you to the airport. I have a contact name and number if you would like it and say to them I recommended the clinic.
I Don t want to get in the chair in turkey and the dentist then says it will cost more than the quote I hope to at least get xrays here in thailand to send to turkey so they can price me properly. Please send what you have got. Contacts. Thanks for you help ...
my wife had dental implants at Asavanant and was very satisfied. About 30 to 40 % of what she was quoted in the States. Our son also had deep cleaning of his infected gums and 3 crowns. He also said a much less expensive than in the States. They are a full service modern dental clinic with the most modern equipment and a full in house staff of different dentists and technicians. I go there for normal cleanings and check ups and am also very satisfied. They speak English as well.
You think they're expensive? I had extensive root canal treatment and crown work done which was more than half of UK cost. I think they are great, i looked at several other clinics in Bangkok but Asavanant came out top in terms of price and service.
